Dedication of the
Queen's Commonwealth Canopy

On a soggy 2018 November day at the North Shore Riding Club, QEII National Trust hosted Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to dedicate 17 hectares of native forest to the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy (QCC). The QCC is a Commonwealth-wide initiative, set up to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s long reign and leadership of the Commonwealth.  There were around 100 guests made up of QEII members and covenantors as well as riding club members past and present and lots of media – both New Zealand and international.
